Kaley's Monthly Pictures: Twelve Months!

Hello everyone and welcome to the last monthly picture of Kaley. My baby is no longer a baby! She's now a toddler and growing up so fast every day, and I can't stand it! Sometimes when I feel like this I wonder how my parents feel, to have your child fully grown with a family of their own. Surreal is the word that comes to mind.

My little tornado never stops moving and is always keeping me on my toes. This month's picture took forever and this was the best one I was able to get, after about an hour of extreme frustration. Kaley decided to rip the backdrop down about six times during this photo shoot.

Kaley is such a great eater, I love that she will try anything and hasn't found much she doesn't like. After Braxton, feeding Kaley seems like a breeze! I know that she will eat whatever we eat, and I usually end up sharing most of my dinner with her (after she finishes hers). She actually shared most of our Christmas dinners with me, silly girl.

Every day it get a little harder to keep up with her, and poor Braxton is having to get very creative with how to keep his toys away from her. We've taught him to start playing at the dining room table, on the built-in's and even on the couches. Though, they are not going to be safe for long. Kaley's new favourite thing is to throw all of the toys out of the toy baskets and climb in the basket. Braxton loved to do this too.

Here is a sneak peek of her cake smash! I just can't keep up with how much she has grown.

Thank you for sharing this crazy year long journey watching our little girl grow. And if you missed any previous months, you can find them here: one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten and eleven.

Kaley's Monthly Pictures: Eleven Months

Hi everyone, and welcome back. This is the second last picture I will be sharing, because my baby girl will be one in two days! Can I just stop time now? Please? Pretty please?

My little baby is getting so big and bright. There is no stopping her when she sets her mind to something, and I love watching her think things through. She's our little tornado, and is a joy to watch grow up. And is it ever getting hard to take these pictures with her laying down, she just shoots up and runs away.

She makes us laugh continuously while at the same time so frustrated! I cannot believe the things that she gets into, every day it's something new. And it seems that she is continuously learning and finding ways around our blockades and baby proofing. Braxton was never a problem with this, and is always a practice in patience.

I forgot to include it on the picture, but Kaley had her first Halloween this month! She was too cute when dressed up, and completely willing to ham it up for the camera.

Kaley will eat and eat and eat. She is always willing to try new foods and will actually drink from a sippy cup. This is such a blessing after our picky eater (Braxton, I'm looking at you).

Well, that's all for this month. I'm finding it hard to write about Kaley so late after the picture was taken because I start confusing the months. Good thing there's only one left.

Kaley's Monthly Picture: Ten Months

Hello, hello everyone. And I have to say, holy am I late posting this monthly picture! I have had the pictures ready for a month now, I have just been lazy and busy doing other things. Oh well, better late than never!

I don't even know where to start with this little girl! She is so happy all the time, and is always making us laugh. She's friendly and such a sweetheart to everyone, including people she's just met. Even on her worst days, you can usually get her laughing and being silly again.

It's starting to get hard to take pictures of her because she is trying to do all the things so fast that she is constantly falling and bruising her poor little face. She actually has a shiner and a black eye from a recent fall into a coffee table as I write this. And the only way I can think of to stop this from happening is to bubble wrap my entire house. She just wants to GO.

She is so curious and wants to be part of everything. Naps are hard to come by in the afternoon anymore, she just can't miss anything that Braxton is doing. Her favourite toys are now soccer and "basket" balls, and she loves carrying around ball pit balls. She loves to throw the larger ones around and chase after them. It's stinking adorable.

And everything is a prize and edible. Doesn't matter what it is, it can be eaten according to Kaley. The amount of dog hair and leaves we rescue from her is just hilarious some days. It's rare to get an outdoor picture where she isn't putting leaves into her mouth.

That's it for this month since this is such a late post, and I have her 11 month pictures coming up. I think I am confusing and combining the months, everything is just going so fast. Hopefully you will come back to see what's new with Kaley for her 11 month picture. And she's going to be one in less than a month! I'm so excited and distraught that she's getting so big.

Kaley's Monthly Picture: Nine Months

Hello every and welcome back to the next set of monthly pictures for Kaley. I know not everyone likes looking at picture and updates of other peoples children, but I feel it's nice to have these things documented and it's even better to share them.

Though I do feel like maybe I need to try to get a Braxton related photo shoot going, since everything has been pretty Kaley heavy lately. Maybe if I can get him to sit still long enough that I can actually take a decent picture of him. I'll see what I can do, but I make no promises.

Kaley's Monthly Pictures: Eight Months

Hello one and all, and as always welcome back. I'm so happy to have been able to share a few recipes and crafts in the last few weeks. It's nice to get a little normalcy back into my life, hopefully the kids don't go and change it all up on me again.

I am sharing Kaley's 8 month picture today, and I'm started to feel like time is moving twice as fast not that I have two kids. Seriously, where has this year gone? In four month I'm going to have a 3 year old and a 1 year old. Crazy town. But back to Kaley's picture and update.

This girl is hilarious, and I mean absolutely belly laugh hilarious. She is the biggest ham ever, loving to be the center of attention and getting people to laugh at her. She loves having her picture taken and usually gets me laughing while doing so. The faces and noises she makes are adorable, especially when she's off playing by herself. She's extremely independent and is very good at entertaining herself when she needs to. There is a path of destruction in her wake, but she's very happy while doing it.

She started really crawling this month and we were so not ready for this. She can literally crawl clear across the house in about two minutes, and has gotten very quiet while doing so. This is impressive since almost our whole house in hardwood and laminate. It seems like every two seconds you have to move her from somewhere she's not allowed to be like the dogs water dish or Rokko's dog crate.

And she started pulling herself up onto everything. Everything, even if it's not stationary. Poor girl has more bumps and bruises than Braxton, and that's saying something. It's getting hard to keep her out of Braxton's things and his snacks because she just crawls after him and pulls up where ever he is to bug him. Kaley may or may not have already tried Cheerios and is a cheerio fiend with a slight addiction. If a Cheerio hits the floor, you can bet Kaley will find it in about 4 seconds and eat it before you have a chance to stop her.

And the sleeping is awesome compared to Braxton. He woke up every two hours until he was a year old to eat no exception. Most night Kaley is up only once and is starting to become a full night sleeper. She goes to bed around 6pm and wakes up around 6am, with a possible 1am bottle on some nights. This is so nice, because I don't have the option to nap like I did with Braxton.

This little girl has definitely made our lives much more interesting and we certainly have our work cut out for us. Poor Braxton is still trying to adjust to all the new changes, and has no idea that she's going to get much more mobile in the coming months.

That's it for this month. I'll be back again for another update after Kaley turns nine months old. Thanks for checking in each month and watching  our little girl grow with us. A year will be here before we know it.

Kaley's Monthly Pictures: Seven Months

Hi everyone, sorry for the radio silence for the last little bit. We've been having some computer issues, but they are cleared up now and I'm hoping to get some new stuff out to you guys shortly. I have been able to get a few things done, now I need to find the time to edit the pictures and write the posts. I'm sure anything is better than nothing! Thank you for bearing with me while I adjust to two littles running around my house.

And speaking of my littles, today I want to share Kaley's seven month picture. My gosh, this little girl is growing way too fast. It seems like everyday she changes and does something new.

My little girl started crawling, which is crazy. Braxton didn't crawl, so we have not experienced a crawling baby yet. Holy is it ever tiring! It's like a whole new type of baby proofing that you need to do, and we are learning every single day. And the dog hair that gets stuck all over her little fingers is just exhausting, even vacuuming every day they are like little magnets. I love my dogs, but I really do consider shaving them on a daily basis.

Kaley also started teething and cut her first two teeth (bottom middle) at the exact same time. That was fun, especially since Braxton decided to cut one of his second year molars at the exact same time too. There were many tears in my house that week, I'm sure at least half of the tears came from me. I'm pretty sure she's working on a few more, but nothings broken through yet.

Kaley's middle name should be personality, because boy does she have one. She is so animated, and is really great at entertaining herself. It's adorable to hear her laughing and giggling at herself, even though I don't get the joke. The best is when she sneezes and laughs hysterically for a few minutes after, you can't help but laugh right along with her. And is she ever curious, everything needs to be inspected and looked at.

And the fits she already throws when she doesn't get her way, oh my gosh are they hilarious. I laugh every time because, how can you not? Have you ever seen a 7 month old stomp her legs and hands when she wants something but doesn't get it? I swear her teenage years may be the end of me.

She's going to be such a little trouble maker, I'm already dreading it a little bit. She loves to crawl to her brother and try to take his toys or his food. This is gold to Kaley, and provides hours of entertainment. Braxton spends a lot of time up on furniture and where Kaley can't find him. Poor kid doesn't know what's about to hit him. I see a lot of refereeing in my future between these two.

My little girl, my baby, is growing up so fast. I can't believe the things she is already doing, and I can't wait to see what another month brings. I will see you guys for the next update, hopefully she will stay still long enough for me to take the picture!

Kaley's Monthly Pictures: Six Months

Hello everyone and welcome back! I'm still here and trying to get things moving, but with summer here it's getting harder. Warm weather does not translate well into motivation when you have littles running all over. I'm sure I'll get back into the swing of things one day!

Today I am sharing Kaley's 6 month pictures and update. I cannot believe how fast this year is flying by! My little girl is getting bigger everyday and I don't know if I can stand it. If you missed previous months, you can find them here: one month, two months, three month, four months and five months.

This little girl make me laugh every single day. Multiple times. She is such a happy baby, I didn't realize how much Braxton wasn't. She is always smiling, laughing or acting like a goof trying to get us to smile. It's infectious. Seriously, Kaley has the goofiest smile ever. How can you not laugh when she smiles like this, I ask you?

And her feet are just about the coolest thing around. They reside in her mouth the majority of her waking hours.

She is working really hard on crawling right now. She can get up onto her hands and knees, rock and move her knees around but cannot figure out how to move her hands yet. She usually just ends up rolling over when she tries, then just keeps rolling until she gets what she wants. Braxton is not enjoying her being able to get to his toys, and has started moving toys onto the couch and coffee table so she can't get to them.

We are working on getting her to sit up by herself, but the girl won't stop moving. She is either trying to stand up or sticking her feet in her mouth. Both resulting in a face plant if not caught early enough, though that game is hilarious to her as well. She just started putting her hands down into a tripod pose, but that only lasts a few seconds. Practice makes perfect! We will keep at it.

And she hasn't really started solids yet, we started at five months but had to stop because she got extremely constipated. We had to take a break for a month to see what was constipating her, and it turns out she needs a low iron formula. We are in the process of that switch over, and are skipping baby cereal per the doctors advice. She tried butternut squash for the first time and ate half the jar.

I keep saying how different she is than Braxton was, and it's so true. She is my smiley, happy baby who laughs at everything. Hopefully she stays this way straight through her teenage years. Fingers crossed?

That's it for this month, I will see you again same bat time, same bat channel for next month's update. Sorry, I had to do it. My dad would be so proud.

Kaley's Monthly Pictures: Five Months

Hi there! Hopefully everyone had a fantastic week and is ready for the weekend! The warm weather has been fantastic here and we have managed to get a few things done outside. Though this also means that the cleaning in the house doubles due to dogs and kids bringing a ton of the outdoors in! With weather this nice though, I can manage a few extra hours of cleaning my floors.

Today I want to share another set of monthly pictures for Kaley. She is getting so big, it's crazy to think of how small she used to be! If you're new here or want a refresher of previous monthly pictures, you can find them here: one month, two months, three months, and four months.

Kaley's Monthly Pictures: Four Months

Hello one and all and happy Friday. It's almost the weekend, and it happens to be Mother's Day this weekend. So make sure to spoil all the moms out there! I'm hoping for a semi lazy weekend, you know, full of diaper changes and crying babies. But I wouldn't change a thing.

I am finally caught up on my monthly pictures for Kaley, so today I want to share her four month picture. I'll give you a few minutes to take in all the cuteness.

Kaley's Monthly Pictures: Three Months

Hello there everyone and happy Monday! It's finally May and I think spring my stick around this time, or at least I'm hoping it will. It's been pretty busy around here the last few weeks, so I am quite late with Kaley's three month picture. But better late than never.

Kaley's Monthly Pictures: Two Months

Hi one and all! I have managed to get my butt in gear and get a few things organized and some pictures sorted. Yay me! No seriously, sleep is a wonderful thing.

Today I want to share Kaley's two month picture, which I did manage to take on the day she turned two months old. I just took me forever to edit it and post it for you guys. She has grown so much in just a month, I feel like she is growing faster than Braxton did. Maybe it's just because I am watching him grow fast too.

She is crazy strong and will actually cry and throw fits if she can't stand when she wants to. And forget about stopping her from looking everywhere, girl loves to watch tv. And it's hard to stop her from looking at it!

She is still up multiple times at night, but we did manage one full night's sleep! I'm hoping that means that she will start sleeping through he night earlier than Braxton did, at 11 months old. His first full night's sleep was two weeks before his first birthday, for real.

I can't wait to see what changes will happen in another month!

Kaley's Monthly Pictures: One Month

Hey everyone, I know that I have been pretty unreliable the last few weeks and I wanted to say sorry. I am going to try my best to pop on here whenever I can, but I'm not expecting to be posting regularly for awhile. I'm sure you guys will forgive me. When sleep is a little more of a sure thing I will probably have the energy to do things beside childcare.

I did want to share the monthly pictures for Kaley like I did for Braxton, but this time around I will post them when I have a chance instead of in one giant post. This way maybe you guys can see how she is growing instead of just seeing twelve pictures in a row that shows a rapid change.

I can't believe how fast the first month went by, it's crazy. We joke about how she's going to be walking next week because she is always moving! Seriously, the girl is always looking around with her head up and checking things out. She's starting to watch her brother a little bit, when he actually gets close to her.

I hope you guys can enjoy my cute little girl's pictures as much as I do. I love the idea of monthly pictures to keep track of the little things that don't have a place in baby memory books. It's also great for family members that can't visit as much as they'd like to. I highly recommend them, they are so worth the time & effort.

Braxton's First Year

Well, it's official. My baby is no longer a baby. Braxton had his first birthday on Saturday and we had a party for him. My little guy did so well! He is usually pretty shy and sticks close to me, but he had no problem running around and flirting with all of the guests.

I'll share the details of his party later this week, but today I wanted to share some pictures of my little guy. You see on Pinterest all the super cute pictures people have taken each month of their babies and I knew that was something I wanted to do. So I had Luis take his picture each month while I held him, and added some details about what he was doing that month.

I'm not going to add too much more, hopefully you can just enjoy the pictures and stare at my baby for a little bit.

It's amazing how fast a year can go by, and how much Braxton changed in that year. I can't wait to see what happens in the next year.
