Ribbon Tree

Hi again!

I wanted to show you some ribbon trees that I made. I first saw them at Whipperberry here. They have a great tutorial. Now I did my differently, but it looks just as good!

Not too bad right?!? Here's what you do:

Gather your supplies: tree form, ribbon, glue gun and tons of glue sticks, and some bedazzle.

Cut your ribbon into 3 inch or so pieces. I just eye-balled them after awhile. I used one and a half ribbon spools.

Once you have a bunch of ribbons cut to size, grab your glue gun and start gluing. I glued mine straight end to end.

After a bit, you will have a pile about 18 times this size:

Now you can start to put the ribbons on the tree form. Start at the bottom and stagger the ribbons to fill all the gaps.

This takes time! Grab your dvr and get watching! I think the first tree took about an hour and a half.

After you have all of the tree covered, you can start to bedazzle!

I ended up doing one large green tree, and two smaller white trees. I just put the jewels where i thought they would look nice. These would also look great with fake snow, Epsom salt and small beads glued onto the ribbons.

Now, step back and admire your hard work.
