the dresser that found a new home

Hi there....hey.....(awkward silence).....long time no see? I'm not going to apologize for not being on here and posting regularly - life got in the way. This is not my job, its a hobby, something I do for fun. To share with people and have a place of my own.

Even though I have not been here posting things, I have still been doing a whole bunch of crafty stuff. I still want to share these things with you, they just may be a teensy bit late (or early if you really think about it).

The first thing I want to share is a dresser makeover I did quite a few months ago. I really only have a before and after to show you, since I forgot to take pictures along the way (bad blogger!). I'm sure you'll forgive me.

Below is a dresser I found at Goodwill for $24.99 - a little pricey for me, but I loved her (yes her). There was just something about her - I knew I could make her beautiful again.

Isn't she a doll? As knew from first glance what I wanted to do. Centsational Girl posted about a two toned dresser she did - and I knew this was where my dresser was destined to go.

So I gathered my supplies and got to work. After tons of sanding, staining and painting and a trip to Hobby Lobby for some pulls - I had my beauty.

I just love her. And because I know people love a good before & after side-by-side, her you go

So, has anyone else turned an old dresser into a two-toned goddess? Feel free to share or take a look at my dresser board on Pinterest for more inspiration.

 Until next time!

K.
