So, here goes. My name is Kerby (yes it's my real name, and yes it's my first name), and I went through college for administrative accounting and have had a job in that field straight out of college. I know it doesn't sound like much but I like it. It's nice and quiet, with goals that you set each and every day.
But
with our son's first birthday quickly approaching, and having to go back to
work looming, decisions needed to be made. While trying to fill out the
paper work for daycare, the Hubster and I realized that we don't want to
do that. We want to have our son raised by a family member or better,
one of us. So after some serious number crunching, wishful thinking and
sending good juju out into the world - a decision was made. We decided that I will stay at home and raise our son. In
addition, I will start blogging on a full-time basis. Something I have
wanted to do, but had so much trouble finding time for. With it being
part of "my job", I think I will find the motivation.
I married my high school sweetheart 6 years ago, and we have been together for 14 years. I know that makes us sound really old, but we aren't! We bought a house which was a bit of a fixer upper and have spent the last 6 years making it our own. I will get a house tour started once I take pictures of some rooms, and will probably do that in a few parts.
Before we got married we started gathering fur babies. We have two cats and two dogs, all of which I have a love-hate relationship with some days (doesn't everyone have that with their pets though? No? Just me? Okay then). I'm sure they will make appearances on the blog. Whether in pictures or in rants :)
Last year, our son Braxton was born. I can't even describe how happy he has made us. He's been the soul purpose of my life for the last 11 months, and I wouldn't change a thing. I will share some more about him in a separate post, including his birth story and some updates. Since I haven't shared anything with you about him.
Hopefully this answers a few questions, and I will try to add more along the way when I think of things. Maybe I'll even add some pictures and things to make this look a little nicer, maybe.
Kerby
